To America, second time this year? Why not! At the beginning of the year, we were on divine Cuba, but this time we are returning across the Atlantic slightly more north, to the United States, to a city that never sleeps. Town’s skyscrapers are a perfect scene for thousands of films and TV series… you’ve all certainly heard about four friends in the cult series Sex in the City, or laughing to the tears when you watch lost but ingenious boy in the comedy Home alone. Yeah, we will spend a week in the city of all cities, New York!
This would be a perfect way to use our last vacation days this year. We will be walking in Central Park, take panoramic views from Empire State Building, visit the Statue of Liberty and eating a whole mountain of fast food, we do not adore too much. Yes, it can well happen that, when we arrive back home, the scale will show some extra kilograms 😃
As in most cases, our trip will start in Venice, followed by an 11-hour long flight with a one-hour stop in London with British Airways. We paid almost 400 euros per person for return ticket. The main cost of travel, this time, is accommodation, instead of overly expensive hotels; we chose a significantly cheaper and definitely more authentic option, Airbnb, where we will be sharing a flat with the local, Miss Mirlande in Harlem.
So… we have airline tickets, our bed is booked, we will have sunny weather, we even did not forget about the insurance with CORIS assistance. However, there is something else! Borut will realize his children’s dreams… he will finally be a part of the basketball match in NBA! Hip Hip Hura!
